My name is Valerie. I am a lot of things. I am a wife, a daughter, a friend, an artist, a writer, a photographer, and a gamer. Sometimes I'm a loose cannon, a grenade with it's pin pulled out, a land mine waiting for a misstep. My moods change at the drop of a dime, and sometimes the reason is unclear. I can be emotional, and when in a bad mood, quick to anger or offend. I am sensitive, and therefore capable of great empathy. I am very understanding, tolerant, often submissive. I try my best to avoid conflict. I'm a fighter, a survivor, and I am who I am because of what I've been through, and I've been through a lot. I have high expectations of myself, which I often don't meet. I am a perfectionist. I make mistakes, and I admit to them. I am my own worst critic. I have my own little dark cloud of guilt hanging over my head. I write and draw and take pictures as a way to express myself. I want to be understood and accepted.

Changed my name, have been wanting to for a long time but it was never really an option.
I wanted Rawrosaur, since I came up with it ages ago and use it for practically everything, but someone has taken it (it's a deactivated account... sigh)
Anyway, I'm leaving all the "xnailbunnyx" signature thingies on my artworks for now, seeing as I don't even have the original artworks for a lot of them, and it would literally take a century to change each one. Just know that anything that says xnailbunnyx on it is, indeed, mine. In future I will be signing as Valyrei.
That is all, no personal updates for now, though my life has been a bit of a soap

A few weeks ago, my parents had to have 2 of their 3 kitties put down. Toby, the neurotic Bengal (http://fav.me/dbohzb), who has been ill for a very long time; and Mischief (http://fav.me/dcjs0o the one on the right), the fat tabby who was about 16 I believe, and also ill. Both of whom I went to pick out as kittens, played with and grew up with. I didn't think I would be that upset, seeing as both of them had had long lives, it's been nearly 6 years since I moved out, and I wasn't there when they were put down but I've been having dreams about them.

March Update

I have needed to update this for awhile.
As is apparent from the many pictures of her in my gallery recently, we got a puppy on December 7th, her name is Piper and she's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is now about ~6 months old and we're getting her spayed this week. Not looking forward to it but it needs to be done. After that, (once she's healed obviously) we're going to look into some puppy training classes. I think she will excel at these, because it didn't take her long at all to learn "sit", "stay", "no bite", and "leave it". Still working on "down" but she'll get it eventually.
